This is a travel case I made for Tamagotchi P Deco Pierces.  I chose this mint-size tin because it’s the exact height of the pierces I own, so when the plugs are secure in their places, they don’t rattle around.  I can fit a fresh set of batteries underneath them, along with some kind of pointy tool to open the battery cover.

Unfortunately, since the time I had made this, I cannot find the exact size tin.  Which means YOU will probably not be able to find the same size tin as mine.   Therefore I can’t make a template for you to copy.  But I can explain the process and you can make your own template.  Note that the picture on the inside of the lid is optional.  If there is enough interest, I will make diagrams to go along with these instructions.

The Pierce Holder

  1. Trace the bottom of the tin on regular piece of paper, or wax paper with the waxy side up.
  2. Measure the height of the tin.  Add rectangular “wings” to the long sides of the shape you just drew.
  3. Place your pierces on top of the drawing where you would like them to be.  Trace around the plugs to mark the holes.  Cut the whole thing out, including the holes (this is easier to do if you have an X-acto knife.)
  4. Cut a rectangular piece that is twice the height of the tin.  This is the template for the supports on the short sides of the pierce  holder.  Cut it out.  Now you have two templates.
  5. On heavier paper like the kind used for scrapbooking and card-making, cut out the shapes using the templates.  You will two of the rectangular supports.
  6. Fold all four legs.  Use craft glue to attach the supports to the holder.  Use clips or paper clips to hold the supports in place while the glue dries.

The Battery Holder

  1. Once again, trace the bottom of the tin but this time you can make a template or you can trace right on to the heavier paper.  Cut it out.
  2. Cut a large rectangular piece that is the depth of the tin plus the height of the tin on both sides.
  3. Cut two smaller rectangles the height of a AAA battery.
  4. Accordion-fold all the pieces as seen in the picture.  Glue them in the correct spots, making sure the batteries end up BETWEEN the plugs on the upper level.  Use clips or paperclips to hold everything in place while the glue dries.
